Winkler’s Scott Tidwell: Happy Ending In 2003 Unlikely In 2011
Winkler County Texas- Oh dear. It turns out that the county attorney the Odessa Observer found was paying local hookers up to $4,000 a romp for their services, Scott Tidwell, was arrested in a 2003 prostitute scandal involving a local massage parlor and a litany of prominent local citizens including businessmen, ranchers, newspaper editors, school board members and….attorneys. Heretofore this was all very hush hush in the county.
AGAIN the fantastic folks at the Odessa Observer have the scoop through some investigative reporting and an alert reader. CUDOS to the Odessa Observer Blog for blowing this wide open ( no pun intended you sophomorics).
In the latest developments Tidwell has admitted to the Observer that he was indeed the same Scott Tidwell listed in the arrest records 8 years ago. He apparently declined to come clean on the latest high priced call girl revelations (pun disclaimer again).
We will have only a few days to find out what kind of circus this might turn into since his escorts are making rumblings about appearing at his criminal trial for his role in the county nurse scandal which begins on the 26th in Howard County TX. The giddy girls are regular deep throats in their sourcing material to the Observer (and you know what I say here….can’t help it today, this is making me silly).
“I think he would die [if we showed up], but it would be so funny!” said one of the girls who alleged a multiple-occasion tryst with the elected Republican county attorney from Kermit. “You think he would trip if we showed up?”
Yes. I think he would literally trip from the small stroke blasting through his cranium as, what would likely be obvious, former ‘independent contractors’ waved at him from the gallery in the courtroom as reporters, attorneys and family looked on.
